Biography

Walker Klauda is a composer, conductor, and multi-instrumentalist whose work spans concert music, media scoring, and cross-genre collaboration. Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Media Scoring and Production at the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music, he also studies composition and conducting. He will graduate in 2026 with additional minors in Composition and Music Industry.

At Frost, Klauda is deeply involved in both performance and leadership. He serves as President of the Society of Composer’s Incorporated at the University of Miami and holds multiple music-director and conductor roles across campus ensembles. He is the Music Director for Scores for the Silver Screen, conductor and arranger for Frost’s Rock Symphonic Orchestra, and a conductor, arranger, and performer with the Frost Saxophone Ensemble. His conducting development includes participation in the International Conducting Institute in the Czech Republic, studying with Kirk Trevor and Diane Wittry.

Klauda’s compositional voice explores the intersection of deeply emotional human experiences within a sonic world that revolves around Classical, Jazz, and Media Music. His works include Beowulf for full orchestra, The Griffin for string quartet, Moving Forward for saxophone trio, and numerous chamber pieces. He also maintains an active practice as an arranger, with recent projects for saxophone ensemble and string quartet with voice.

A member of ASCAP, Walker continues to expand his artistic reach through new commissions, collaborative projects, and performances across a wide range of musical settings.
