Biography

Walker Klauda is a composer, conductor, and multi-instrumentalist whose work spans concert music, media scoring, and cross-genre collaboration. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Media Scoring and Production from the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music. Klauda is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Orchestral Conducting at the Frost School of Music under the tutelage of Maestro Gerard Schwarz and is expected to graduate in 2028.

At Frost, Klauda has been deeply involved in both performance and leadership. He served as President of the Society of Composers, Inc. at the University of Miami from 2025–2026 and has held multiple music director and conducting roles across campus ensembles. He served as Music Director for Scores for the Silver Screen in 2026, has been a conductor and arranger for Frost’s Rock Symphonic Orchestra since 2024, and is also a conductor, arranger, and performer with the Frost Saxophone Ensemble. His conducting development includes participation in the International Conducting Institute in the Czech Republic, where he studied with Kirk Trevor and Diane Wittry.

Klauda’s compositional voice explores the intersection of deeply emotional human experiences within a sonic world that revolves around Classical, Jazz, and Media Music. His works include Beowulf for full orchestra, The Griffin for string quartet, Moving Forward for saxophone trio, and numerous chamber pieces. He also maintains an active practice as an arranger, with recent projects for saxophone ensemble and string quartet with voice.

A member of ASCAP, Walker continues to expand his artistic reach through new commissions, collaborative projects, and performances across a wide range of musical settings.
